Course: Specialist Reserve Induction Course (SRIC)
Location: RAAF Base East Sale, VIC
Duration: 5 days (plus travel)
Usually completed within two years of joining.
Ongoing specialist courses also available.

Air Base Protection and Security
Course: Initial Military Training
Location: Your home base and RAAF base in Wagga, NSW.
Duration: Reservists can expect to attend their home base on average one to two days per month in order to complete physical fitness assessments and pre-requisite training required for the residential phase. This is followed by a four week residential phase at the 1 Recruit Training Unit (1RTU) which is located at RAAF Base Wagga in NSW.

Following recruit training, Airbase Protection and Security trainees are required to complete Airbase Protection Initial Employment Training, which consists of a 4 week residential course undertaken at the RAAF Security and Fire School (RAAFSFS) at RAAF Base Amberley, QLD.
